RFRain announces grant of US patent for its proprietary system and method for detecting communication tags
June 26, 2019 – RFRain is pleased to announce earning its first of many more patents to come. We just earned our first patent on the communication stack, which would allow us to position ourselves nicely in the marketplace and protect our breakthrough product the RFR-RAIN-4-SMART reader. The U.S. Patent & Trademark Office has granted RFRain US patent number 16/034,284. The patent applies to our proprietary system and method for detecting information of assets stored in communication tags.
The invention relates to RFID readers and servers or readers only and the use of RFID tag information in a complete system differentiating from other RFID readers by integrating swiftly into the user’s current system with the use of open source databases. An object of the present invention is to provide a system for detecting information of assets located throughout large or small areas stored in communication tags and communicating assets information over a communication network using multiple, even more than 1,000 antennas, and multiple readers, which could be more than 1,000 readers. The system includes a bi-directional communication reader and a configuration server. As our company continues to grow, our goal is to issue many more continuation patents after this one.
